Eastlink, a Canadian video entertainment and communications service provider, has chosen CSG International's (NASDAQ:CSGS) Ascendon back office overlay platform.

Ascendon is designed to enable service providers to launch, scale and monetize digital services such as movies, games, home security and OTT offerings with a link to the customer's existing services.

CSG Ascendon will provide an online storefront that offers a browse and buy experience, as well as payment methods including credit cards, discounts, coupons and the ability to post charges to the consumer's monthly bill. The online storefront and digital services are expected to go live this spring.
