Industrial safety equipment provider Mallory Safety and Supply has selected Comcast Business (NASDAQ:CMCSA) Internet solutions and software-defined wide area networking (SD-WAN) to overcome geographic challenges, facilitate communication and meet customers' expanding technology needs.

Two 2018 acquisitions expanded Mallory's operations to 24 locations spread over three time zones. With its Comcast Business fiber-based business services, Mallory can now accommodate high-bandwidth communications tools, allowing employees to collaborate using video, VoIP and chat, no matter where they are located.

"The Mallory-Comcast partnership helps our team provide better, more holistic service to our customers to meet their needs, while also creating a company culture that allows everyone to be a part of the solution," said Brian Loy, chief information officer for Mallory. "Comcast's reliably good product allows tasks like file storage, video conferencing and idea sharing to happen easily. Our internal communications have improved significantly with this rollout, making us a more efficient workplace."

Mallory's customers include organizations in industries such as energy exploration and refining, wind and solar power, heavy construction, defense and aviation, food and beverage production, commercial contracting, ship building and repair, telecommunications, and others.

"While many companies in our industry are late adopters of technology, the successful ones have all been nimble enough to adapt their systems to work with customers and manufacturers as the business landscape changes," Loy said. "Our stakeholders appreciate how quickly we can produce reports and data - all with the help of Comcast's reliable network."

"Because many organizations turn to Mallory to capitalize on safety information, operational technology, worker equipment, mobile connected devices, and data tracking and measurement, it's critical that Mallory has a dedicated connection with Internet capacity in place to increase the breadth and depth of its solutions and provide a scalable supply chain and safety competencies for its customers," said Mark Meyers, enterprise sales director for Comcast Business. "As market demand increases and as Mallory continues to grow, its modernized technology infrastructure will allow the company to seamlessly deliver even better customer service and help sustain its market leadership."

Mallory's future technology upgrade plans include a web-enabled CRM package, migrating more applications to the cloud, and firming up disaster recovery and cybersecurity plans.
