Market Leading Solutions Drive Hefty Business Services Revenues
Cable operators have long cast an enterprising eye on business services, and there's certainly money to be made--even in a down economy. To wit, Cablevision's Optimum Lightpath posted net revenues of $70.8 million for the second quarter of this year, and Comcast Business Services were up 54 percent for the same period.Cell backhaul is hot right now, and with advances in Carrier Ethernet and optical transport, cable ops are well-positioned. And given that mobile operators are leery of using landline telcos--their main competition--for backhaul, cable is a logical partner. Agile SMBs are looking for alternatives, and cable can readily provide them. For example, in the second quarter of 2010, Time Warner Cable added 11,000 new commercial high-speed data subs and 12,000 new commercial digital phone subs. Cable operators have never had more business services technologies and solutions to choose from. This sponsored video review takes a look at four market-leading companies that are providing an array of solutions driving new levels of reliability, scalability and success in commercial services.
