The Cloud Native Broadband Router (cnBR) is completely new code, written for the cloud, using open source tools. The cnBR has been designed as a composition of microservices, each individually developed, containerized and deployed to work in unison. The cnBR is hardware agnostic, meaning it can run on bare metal x86 servers without proprietary hardware dependencies. The cnBR can also support virtual machine (VM) based use cases as well, where the bare metal environment is recreated inside clusters of VMs.
