Evolution Digital announced the deployment of its managed eVUE-TV IP Video on Demand Solution with seven additional member operators in the NCTC. The seven operators deploying eVUE-TV on the NCTC's VU-IT! platform include Docomo Pacific, Antietam Communications, Frankfort Plant Board, Orbitel Communications, Easton Utilities, MTC Cable and Wyandotte Cable TV.
Last July, Evolution signed an agreement with the NCTC to distribute eVUE-TV as an option to members that operate under NCTC's VU-IT! platform, a solution for back office integration, OTT apps and TiVo user interface and functionalities. Operators can integrate eVUE-TV to deliver IP VOD content. eVUE-TV is slated to add capabilities including the delivery of IP linear channels, network DVR and TV Everywhere functionalities.
"We are pleased to add these seven NCTC operators to the rapidly growing list of providers deploying eVUE-TV," said Marc Cohen, executive vice president of sales at Evolution Digital. "eVUE-TV is a best-of-breed solution that empowers operators to cost-effectively integrate a more complete lineup of IP video content while helping the operator begin the transition to full IP distribution. eVUE-TV not only delivers the programming that consumers want, but also enables a more compelling viewing experience with enhanced functionalities and features."
Some 14 operators now deploy the eVUE-TV platform. The VU-IT! solution is available on Evolution's eBOX IP Hybrid Set-Top Box and other third-party hardware.
