At the 2017 NAB Show in Las Vegas in April, Amagi will highlight its cloud-based video offerings, including automated broadcast services, ad insertion and playout.
The company's cloud-based, automated, end-to-end managed broadcast services are intended to enable TV networks, content owners, operators, and OTT platforms to manage, store and archive, schedule, play out, deliver, monitor, and monetize library, live and VOD content leveraging public cloud infrastructure. It's designed as a one-stop shop for handling linear TV content and provides a launchpad to take content to any location or device, across satellite, fiber, cloud, IPTV, and OTT TV. It also has monetization features with targeted and personalized ad insertion across linear and OTT feeds, combined with the capability for ad sales partnerships and programmatic buying.
Amagi's STORM 3.0 ad insertion solution is now available on the Intel platform. The solution is designed to support multiple interfaces (IP, SDI and ASI), feed formats (SD and HD), insertion formats (video, full screen graphics, scrolls and tickers) as well as multiple channels on the same device. STORM will continue to support standard replacement triggers such as SCTE-35, Packet 31, DTMF cue tones and Amagi Watermark. The platform is compatible with both cloud-based ad insertion and replacement content transported over satellite trickle bandwidth. It's designed for frame-accurate ad insertion and to manage and monitor the entire workflow through a web-based user interface (UI).
Amagi has upgraded its CLOUDPORT 3.0 cloud-based channel playout platform with a scheduling feature for flexibility in playout of linear channels for broadcasters and OTT providers. The new scheduling feature is intended to create frame-accurate presentation schedules from scratch, including programming content, commercials, static and dynamic graphics, squeeze backs, event triggers, and live event integrations.
