At SCTE Cable-Tec Expo 2015 in New Orleans, Broadpeak will introduce and demonstrate its BkS350 origin packager. The BkS350 with on-the-fly packaging capabilities is the newest addition to the company's range of streaming servers. It's designed to allow operators to convert recorded and VOD content dynamically into any adaptive bitrate (ABR) streaming format while securing content with DRM encryption. By enabling operators to package video content on the fly, the BkS350 is intended to reduce storage costs and optimizes resources for multiscreen delivery, including VOD and non-linear TV services.

The BkS350 origin server supports ABR formats including Apple HLS, Microsoft Smooth Streaming, Adobe HDS, and MPEG-DASH. It also uses HTTP ABR technology.
