At the Independent Cable Show in Boston, Comcast (NASDAQ:CMCSA) Wholesale and Rovi (NASDAQ:ROVI) announced the deployment of the ROVI DTA Guide to Comcast Wholesale's HITS customers. The Rovi DTA Guide is an interactive program guide specifically for digital terminal adapters (DTAs) for both SD and HD signals. Comcast Wholesale's HITS service is an MPEG-2 HD and SD cable distribution platform used to deliver linear video content to cable operators of all sizes.

The Rovi DTA Guide is intended to extend the digital cable experience to subscribers who use analog TV sets. It provides the interactive program guide along with program information and parental controls for both HD and SD formats. The guide is designed to be compatible with multiple hardware vendors and to support various remote controls.
