Edgeware's Video Consolidation Platform (VCP) is being hosted in the CableLabs IPTV Innovations laboratory in Louisville, CO, for cable operators and others to test-drive.

CableLabs' IPTV Innovations Lab is designed to test interoperability among multiple components for an IP video delivery network, including support for adaptive bitrate streaming. The lab models a real IPTV delivery network to establish a successful ecosystem and to provide a test bed for a multi-vendor environment.

Edgeware also participated in the CableLabs' ATS and Edge Boundary Point (EBP) interoperability event earlier this year, where the company worked to ensure interoperability with multiple vendors. During the five-day event, CableLabs tested network components - including servers, transcoders and packagers - for compliance with its ATS and EBP specifications.
