Jones/NCTI will develop DOCSIS 3.1 training and course content using CableLabs supplied information and knowledge. The goal is to prepare frontline teams for the multi-gigabit future supported by the deployment of DOCSIS 3.1 hardware.
The three new courses will roll out beginning late in the second quarter or early third quarter of 2015. In addition, Jones/NCTI is integrating CableLabs DOCSIS 3.1 training material into an updated version of the "Broadband Digital Installer" course, which should be released later this month.
Jones/NCTI offers a variety of training courses for network installers and operators. In addition to its partnership with CableLabs, the company has paired with NCTC to provide discounts on training to that organization's members (see "NCTC, Jones/NCTI Team on Training").
