Edgeware and CSI Digital announced a partnership to provide a set of hosted solutions for independent cable and telco operators who are seeking to upgrade to IP delivery of live TV and VOD services for multiscreen offerings. The joint offering is intended as a customizable and scalable hosted IP multiscreen solution.

The partnership was formed specifically to support independent operators, to reduce capex and offload much of the overhead of an IP multiplatform infrastructure buildout. The solution is based on Edgeware's Video Consolidation Platform (VCP) IP video delivery system, hosted by CSI Digital.

CSI Digital adds to the solution by offering a suite of products and services customized to the needs of each service provider. Options include IP set-top boxes, operator UI development, integrated DRM and encryption, content ingest and access to local and regional content packages, and billing and back office integration.
