TDS Telecom (NYSE:TDS) has launched fiber-based 1 Gbps Internet service in Farragut and Halls, TN, and St. Marys, GA. The company says the gigabit service is available for immediate installation as part of a TDS TV bundle, which includes a whole-home DVR, more than 260 channels, on-demand TV and movies, pay-per-view, and on-the-go viewing options. Wireless set-top boxes are also available.
