Edgeware and Mirada are partnering on a multiscreen solution intended to reduce costs and time to market for pay TV operators regardless of network type. The Edgeware Video Consolidation Platform (VCP) is integrated with Mirada's user interface, Iris.

Iris is designed to provide a unified user experience across multiple devices, including set-top boxes, computers, smartphones and tablets. The platform offers two user interfaces, Origin UI and Inspire UI, combined with a back-office system, Iris Service Delivery Platform (SDP). It's designed to enable pay TV operators to offer services including VOD, catch-up TV and cloud DVR with a customized experience tailored to each device.

Edgeware's VCP is a single platform intended to reduce the infrastructure costs associated with the delivery of TV and video services to both STBs and multiscreen devices. It's designed to enable operators to deliver new and current services at scale to all device types, without having to manage duplicate, siloed delivery networks. The VCP builds on Edgeware's Distributed Video Delivery Network (D-VDN) solution.
