In San Diego County, Cox Communications has begun doubling the speeds of its High Speed Internet Preferred and High Speed Internet Premier Internet service packages, from 25 Mbps to 50 Mbps and from 50 Mbps to 100 Mbps, respectively. The two packages represent more than 75% of Cox's high-speed Internet customers in San Diego. Additionally, speeds of the Cox High Speed Internet Ultimate service package are being increased from 100 Mbps to 150 Mbps.

The rollout of the new speeds is expected to be completed by Oct. 23 in San Diego County.
