Casa Systems has launched the C40G, an Integrated Converged Cable Access Platform (I-CCAP). It's designed to have the same functionality of the company's larger C100G, but in a smaller footprint.

The C40G is intended to enable cable operators to deploy MPEG video, IP video, and DOCSIS services over a single port. It utilizes all of the company's existing C100G CCAP modules, including the downstream module (DS8X96), switching module (SMM8X10G), and upstream modules (US16X4 and 16X8).
