At ANGA COM, Thomson Video Networks will demonstrate compression and ad insertion solutions, as well as multiscreen and OTT delivery.

The company will feature its ViBE EM4000 multi-channel HD/SD encoder, offering eight HD MPEG-4 AVC channels in a 1RU chassis. It features new compression innovations for both MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 AVC.

Also on display will be the Sapphire MPEG Stream Server, a channel-in-a-box solution providing the functions needed to ingest, process, brand, and generate TV channels. It offers capture, playout, and ad insertion capabilities with MPEG-2 and H.264 compressed content.

Thomson's ViBE VS7000 video system combines compression technology with encoding, video preprocessing, and file transcoding. It's designed to process up to 448 SD channels or 80 HD channels on a single frame. The company will also demonstrate both real-time and offline HEVC encoding on the ViBE VS7000 platform.
