With the addition of 500 new WiFi hotspots in and around Myrtle Beach, SC, Time Warner Cable (NYSE:TWC) has grown its publicly available WiFi network by 160% since 2012, for a total of 28,000 TWC hotspots across the country. In addition to Myrtle Beach, TWC WiFi deployment is underway in Austin, Charlotte, Hawaii, Kansas City, New York City and southern California.Through the CableWiFi initiative, TWC subscribers have additional shared access at more than 200,000 locations across the country. Thousands more are expected to go live throughout 2014.
