At 2013 SCTE Cable-Tec Expo, Harmonic (NASDAQ:HLIT) will showcase its latest video processing and delivery solutions. Featured demonstrations will focus on cable edge and encoding and stream processing.The company will showcase the latest capabilities of its NSG Pro, which is intended to converge universal edge QAM capabilities with future integrated CMTS functionality to streamline the transition to an all-IP cable infrastructure. It's designed to converge linear video, VOD, and data onto a single system and provide an upgrade path toward full CCAP and an all-IP infrastructure.Harmonic will also demonstrate HEVC compression of Ultra HD content at 3-7 Mbps via its ProMedia Xpress high-performance file-based transcoder, an end-to-end multiscreen workflow powered by its ProMedia Suite of multiscreen software applications, and ProStream with ACE stream processor and transcoder.
