The Downstream Cable Access Module supports 256 QAM streams across eight physical ports. The Upstream Cable Module provides 96 receivers across 24 physical ports. There are 12 slots for UCAMs and DCAMs that can be allocated to achieve the U:D ratio operators want today and then reallocated to handle future U:D changes. Active components are upgraded via software.Live customer trials began in late 2012, and ARRIS announced its first deployed customer, Comcast, in June 2013. Diamonds Judges applauded the E6000's "pay as you grow" model as a way to help with fiscal budgeting and highlighted the density and flexibility as well as the ability to easily change capacity.www.arrisi.comSee them at Cable-Tec Expo, Booth 868Return to the BTR Diamond Technology Reviews Elite.
