Time Warner Cable (NYSE:TWC) is expanding its TWC WiFi network in New York City. The MSO currently has more than 1,700 public hotspots available in Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island, and TWC plans to add more than 1,000 hotspots in Manhattan by mid-July and up to 10,000 across New York City by yearend. WiFi service is available at no additional cost to customers with Standard Internet and above or on a "pay as you go" basis to non-subscribers. Customers also can access more than 75,000 TWC WiFi Hotspots across the tri-state area of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
