Clearfield's (NASDAQ:CLFD) FieldShield Fiber Delivery and Protection System is intended to save space and support aerial, direct bury, and data center last-mile fiber needs in previously inaccessible environments. FieldShield components are designed to be used by themselves, with existing conduit equipment or with newer technologies. Components of the FieldShield System include ruggedized microduct, pushable fiber, pushable fiber connectors, and a handheld, drill-powered pushing tool.FieldShield Pushable Optical Fiber is a flexible optical cable made from crush resistant PBT and is available in bulk reels, factory terminated or pre-placed in the FieldShield Microduct of the customer's choice. The FieldShield Pushable Fiber Connector is designed specifically to enable the fiber to be pulled or pushed through the FieldShield Microduct. The SC and LC connectors are terminated and partially assembled at the factory.
