The Days of the Wiring Closet Must Pass In today’s cable systems, moves, adds and changes are done manually. This is becoming an increasingly cumbersome approach as the overall number of programming streams and the type of services represented increases. The answer to this challenge – which will grow greater over time if not addressed – is to automate these activities. Instead of moving cables around and stacking pizza box upon pizza box, the industry must move to an electronic approach in which moves, adds and changes are done electronically. This is far more efficient, increases reliability and cuts power requirements. Want to learn more about Headend and Hub Flexibility? Visit CommScope at www.commscope.com
