At Expo, Casa Systems announced the launch of a new CMTS, the C1G. At 15 x 8.75 inches x 1RU, the C1G was designed with MDUs, hospitality and small rural applications in mind.It supports one downstream QAM port, two DOCSIS upstream ports, and two GigE (SFP) network ports. Configurations for the C1G range from two downstream and two upstream up to eight downstream and eight up. It also supports upstream and downstream channel bonding; AES encryption/decryption; QoS; and an IP feature set including support for IPv6.
