Affinegy announced its release of CHARIOT Compliance Reports, a TR-069-based automated reporting service that broadband operators can use to satisfy Connect America Fund Phase II (CAF-II) reporting or Alternative Connect America Fund reporting requirements to the FCC that are administered by the USAC (Universal Service Administrative Company).
"We are very excited to announce a CAF-II reporting solution that will support any speed tier and practically any CPE," said Melissa Simpler, Affinegy CEO. "It works with the broadband gateways your subscriber has, and no upgrades of CPE are required. Use it with the CPE that is already installed in subscriber households and all new CPE that get connected. When you use it with the whole CHARIOT Platform, you get provisioning, remote care, self-care, firmware management, compliance reporting and service insight analytics in an all-in-one solution."
The CHARIOT Compliance Reports service is designed to facilitate automated import of the randomly selected CPE to marked test sites within CHARIOT. The service console also features a way to optionally test other CPE at any time that are operator-selected by make/model/firmware, neighborhood, IP range, or other defining criteria. The reports are published in data files ready for submission to the USAC. Additional reports - graphical and tabular - are available for operators to run and export into transportable file formats.
Affinegy worked closely with Zyxel to bring the solution to market. CHARIOT Compliance Reports is certified with most Zyxel broadband gateways.
"Both Zyxel and Affinegy have conducted extensive testing of the CHARIOT Compliance Reports, and we are pleased with the high quality of engineering in our combined solutions," said Brian Feng, senior vice president at Zyxel.
