At Cable-Tec Expo, ATX Networks will be highlighting its DigiVu and DVIS platforms. ATX has expanded the capabilities of both lines by incorporating an option for HD MPEG2/H.264 encoding and an RJ45/SFP-based IP output interface. They can encode in HD/SD, QAM demodulate and multiplex and are intended for local content insertion, content backhaul, and headend encoding/transmission in either RF or IP-based formats. All DigiVu and DVIS products feature an HTTP-based management interface and SNMP support.The 3RU and 1RU DigiVu product versions are optimized for headend applications such as PEG or community channel encoding. The platform supports MPEG-2/H.264, SD/HD encoding of up to 10 programs, QAM demodulation and transmission via QAM or IP. The DigiVu CD version accommodates an integrated channel deletion filter for program add/drop applications. It also supports ASI loopthrough for applications where encoded content needs to be encrypted prior to transmission.The DVIS line products all feature an MDU hardened form factor and are optimized for local digital video content insertions to MDUs as well as local content backhaul to the hub/headend. The DVIS and DVISm (Mini) support MPEG-2/H.264, SD/HD encoding of up to 10 programs, QAM demodulation, accommodate an integrated channel deletion filter for program add/drop applications and support transmission via QAM or IP. The DVISn (Nano) is available in either one- or two-program versions and is geared toward applications requiring a basic QAM insertion into an EIA channel. The DVISn is also available with IP output for local content insertion into IPTV networks.The DVISf (Fiber) incorporates an optical transmitter and optional EDFAs for insertion of local video content directly into an FTTx-based architecture.
