    NDS announced the provision of an end-to-end suite of technologies to German cable operator Kabel BW, enabling the launch of the operator's VOD service. Kabel BW's new DVB-C-based VOD system is based on NDS' MediaHighway set-top software and VOD technology. The launch of the new service in December provided Kabel BW subscribers with instant access to an on-demand video content library.Content delivery is DVB-C-based with VOD titles streamed over cable. For interactivity and commands such as ordering a movie, the service connects to the Internet. Kabel BW offers triple-play services to more than 2.3 million subs.
