AcceLight Networks, Inc., announced a new intelligent core networking solution -- Photonic Service Switching -- that consolidates multiple network layers to one intelligent optical core platform.

Photonic Service Switching integrates three key innovations: photonic burst switching, delivering patented optical switching at speeds up to 100,000 times faster than current optical technology; Generalized-MPLS multi-layer signaling; and a scalable service optimized transport architecture. This fundamentally changes how traffic flows are provisioned and managed throughout the Internet.

By combining network intelligence, petabit capacity, and nanosecond switching in a large-scale core fabric, AcceLight provides the means for carriers to aggregate legacy and new service offerings into a single, simplified configuration while supporting existing revenue streams.

About AcceLight Networks:

AcceLight Networks is a privately held optical solutions provider that was founded in 1999. The company designs Photonic Service Switching solutions to enable the evolution to end-to-end photonic internetworking. For more information, visit www.accelight.com.
