SpecTran Corp. in Sturbridge, MA, and General Cable Corp. in Highland Heights, KY, have formed a joint-venture company to develop, manufacture, and market fiber-optic cable. The companies will have equal ownership in a new organization known as General Photonics, which will be based in Dayville, CT.
