Sprint and Echopass deliver integrated voice and eMedia communications solution

April 2, 2001
Apr. 2, 2001--Sprint Corp. and Echopass Corporation announced that the companies have entered into an agreement to bring their respective technologies and services to the enterprise contact center market.

Sprint Corp. (NYSE:FON) a global communications company integrating wireline and wireless communications services and a provider of broadband communications, and Echopass Corporation, a provider of integrated contact center communication solutions for enterprise customers, announced that Sprint and Echopass have entered into an agreement to bring each company's technology and services to the enterprise contact center market. Additionally, in support of this effort, Echopass has been accepted as a member of Sprint's Enabling ASP (eASP) Program.

Sprint's SONET-based data and voice network is at the forefront of availability of converged network services and hosted applications, deployed by Echopass in an integrated voice and eMedia (email, echat, co-browse) managed contact center communications service and co-marketed nationwide by Sprint and Echopass.

Echopass' carrier class Echocenters, hosted integrated voice and eMedia data and communications centers, are co-located on the Sprint network through which the two companies are providing the most advanced, carrier class offering in the managed contact center marketplace.

As a member of the Sprint Enabling ASP Program, Echopass will receive marketing and sales support from the Sprint ESolutions' member relations team to support Echopass' offering to high-volume enterprise contact centers. Together, the companies enable the move from the traditional voice-only call center environment to contact centers that can take queries from e-mail, Web chat, fax and phone, with the power of the Sprint nationwide enterprise communications network.

Echopass remotely hosts and maintains the technology necessary to deploy and operate high-volume enterprise-class customer contact centers. Its communications service integrates phone, VoIP, e-mail, Web chat, fax and voice mail through a secure, redundant managed network powered by Sprint. In order to compete successfully, enterprise customers need to work with a company that can transform their call centers into reliable and responsive customer contact centers.

The Sprint Enabling ASP program allows managed service providers, ASPs, emerging ASPs and software companies to achieve differentiation through quality of service by leveraging Sprint's stable host and transport environments to house and deliver software solutions to their customers. The Enabling ASP program members benefit from Sprint's sales and marketing reach.
