SEPTEMBER 27, 2007 -- AiDi USA today announced the release of its ultra-compact form factor 1x32 splitter module for general availability in North and South America. This product was initially developed for the Asian and European FTTx and PON markets, where it is currently deployed in volume.

According to the company, the splitter module measures 12.6 x 7.6 x 1.5 mm with 2-mm diameter jacketed fiber cables. All standard fiber connector types are available. The rugged ABS thermoplastic case is designed with through-holes so that it is easily mounted directly to a cabinet. It can also be integrated with a carrier or tray for compatibility with the end customer's fiber distribution hub.

"We are proud to offer this product to our North and South American customers," contends Kenzo Ishida, president and CEO of AiDi Corp. "Its market share in other parts of the world is extremely high due to its unprecedented compactness, and we are confident it will be well-received in the Americas too. Customers here have already expressed interest in it," he reports.

AiDi Corp. says it continues to invest heavily in R&D to bring new products to the marketplace. Manufacturability is of utmost importance in the design process, say company representatives, and judicious selection of raw materials helps to maintain tight control of the supply chain. As a result, AiDi says it is able to provide its customers with enhanced confidence in the product integrity along with rapid product development cycles.
