Williams Network (Tulsa, OK) will provide Frontier Corp. (Rochester, NY) with an exclusive right to use 12 strands of fiber stretching 3000 route-mi and connecting three fully-redundant fiber rings through Houston, TX; Atlanta, GA; and Tampa and Miami, FL. Williams also recently extended its network to the southeast in an agreement with MediaOne (Denver, CO) to acquire a 350-mi stretch of high-capacity fiber-optic cable linking Jacksonville and Miami, FL. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The company signed a multimillion dollar agreement with Universal Access Inc. (Chicago, IL) as well to provide the telecommunications carrier private line, frame relay and atm services. Exact terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
