NOVEMBER 14, 2008 -- Belvedere Neighborhood, a multi-use development located in Charlottesville, VA, has entered into a partnership with fiber-optic amenity company Connexion Technologies (search for Connexion Technologies) to bring a fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) network throughout the community.

"The partnership of Connexion Technologies in Belvedere is a continuation of the sustainable values of the neighborhood, the impact of which will be felt in the greater Charlottesville community for decades," contends Drew Holzwarth, COO of Stonehaus, developer of Belvedere Neighborhood. "Belvedere's fiber-to-the-home initiative will enable any resident with the needs for optimal technology to work from home and enjoy all of the services an advanced office infrastructure provides."

"Connexion is providing a foundation for state of the art communication technology that exceeds the current market offerings and is adaptable to future technology," adds L.J. Lopez, project manager for Belvedere.

Belvedere's network will support an array of services, including ultra-high speed Internet connections, more than 200 digital channels of entertainment, and multi-function telephone service.

The property will also have over 400 energy-efficient homes and 275 apartments, constructed in a neighborhood with tree-lined streets, alley-loaded garages, office and retail space in the Town Center, and over five miles of trails that connect into the greater Rivanna Trail System. The neighborhood also offers a Village Green, including an amphitheater and parks within 250 feet of every house. The organic farm along the banks of the picturesque Rivanna River further enhances the lifestyle of Belvedere.

"From physicians who have the need to download an X-ray in an instant, to a computer programmer working from home, to a stay-at-home parent who wants to enjoy the Internet at the highest speeds, the luxury of fiber-to-the-home will be enjoyed by all," Holzwarth maintains. "At Stonehaus, we could not be more pleased with the collaboration with Connexion Technologies. It has been quite successful in providing this amenity to the initial homeowners of Belvedere."
