Alloptic receives multi-wavelength PON patent

JULY 15, 2008 -- Alloptic (search for Alloptic) has been granted a patent for "Multiple wavelength TDMA optical network" technology in the United States (U.S. Pat. 7,386,236). This patent provides intellectual property protection to Alloptic for the simultaneous use of multiple wavelengths to increase bandwidth over a PON.

Alloptic was the first company to develop an Ethernet-based PON product and it continues to introduce new technology, most recently with RFoG and 10G PON products.
