Optical interface extenders

The fom II Series Model F2300 interface extenders provide synchronous, full- duplex, half-duplex, or simplex data transmission at 44.736 Mbits/sec over distances to 15 km. These DS-3 multimode extenders provide link margins of 15-dB with 62.5/125-micron cable, 10.3 dB with 50/125-micron cable, or 19.5 dB with 100/140-micron cable. Singlemode versions operate with 8/125-, 9/125-, or 10/125-micron cables. The units come packaged in a single- or dual-card desktop enclosure or in a 19-inch rack-mount, dual-card, side-by-side or 20-card chassis. Measuring 7 ¥ 11.6 ¥ 0.85 inches, the interface extenders can be mounted vertically or horizontally, depending on the application.
