FEBRUARY 14, 2007 -- Enablence Technologies Inc. (search for Enablence) says that its large volume production line with Sanmina-SCI (search for Sanmina-SCI) has become operational.

"At the end of September 2006, Enablence and Sanmina-SCI entered into a manufacturing agreement for diplexers and triplexers. Today we are celebrating the opening of the Enablence production line," announced Arvind Chhatbar, the CEO of Enablence Technologies.

"Enablence and Sanmina-SCI have automated every step in the manufacturing process of fiber-to-the-home components using the Enablence Planar Lightwave Circuit, making it the most cost-effective approach for the volume manufacture of fiber-to-the-home components," explained Mike Landy, senior vice president of Sanmina-SCI. "Automation drives out costs and makes it easy for Enablence to ramp production to meet customer demand without having to incur significant overhead costs."

"This is a major development for Enablence and marks an important milestone in our ability to manufacture and supply our products in large volume and in our relationship with Sanmina-SCI," Chhatbar concluded.
