Enabling technology for tightly spaced wavelength channels
Optical channel spacing promises to become even tighter as transmission evolves towards superchannels to accommodate data rates of 400 Gbps and higher. Irish startup Pilot Photonics says they have a promising solution to this problem. CEO Stan Lumish describes the company’s technology and how it might be used in an interview with Lightwave Editorial Director Stephen Hardy at ECOC 2012 in Amsterdam.
