Uckfield, East Sussex, UK, and the tefa Group in Shenzhen, China, have opened a joint-venture cable-filling gel factory in Shekou, in the Guangdong Province of southern China. Shenzhen Unigel Telecommunications Co. Ltd. will manufacture filling and flooding gels for the Chinese fiber-optic and copper cable industries.
