TC3200 Ethernet media converter converts or connects 100-Mbit/sec utp to singlemode (1300 and 1550 nm) or multimode (1300 nm) fiber-optic cable; it can also be used between fddi utp and fiber-optic cable. A typical application is the interconnection of 100-Mbit/sec full-duplex switching hubs at distances to 70 km. Fiber-optic connectors are ST or FC; utp connectors are RJ-45.
