Lightwave Europe now BPA-audited

16 November 2002 -- Beginning with the December issue of Lightwave Europe, we will now carry the BPA logo on our masthead. The magazine has been deemed to have 100% "qualified circulation" among its 15,049 subscribers.

16 November 2002 -- Beginning with the December issue of Lightwave Europe, we will now carry the BPA logo on our masthead. The magazine has been deemed to have 100% "qualified circulation" among its 15,049 subscribers.

The audited data is featured in a newly-released BPA International Initial Audit report covering the months May to July 2002 (www.bpai.com).

Publisher Michael Wolf commented, "With this audit of subscribers, we are pleased with our reach. At the recent ECOC event in Copenhagen many industry figures told us that since launching in March 2002, our magazine has become a "must-read" for the industry-targeted recipients."

The BPA report details Lightwave Europe subscribers by primary business, job function and geography. It shows that, of the 15,049 subscribers: 7536 are in the OEM/manufacturing/suppliers category (50.1%); 4,816 are end users of fibre-optics products and services (32%); and 2,698 are carriers or service providers (17.9%).

By job function we have predominantly technical management subscribers. Geographically Lightwave Europe subscribers are based in the following territories: Western Europe (84.4%); Eastern Europe and Russia (7.0%); Israel, Turkey and the Middle East (7.0%); and Africa (1.5%).
