10-Gbit/sec pattern generator

Nov. 2, 2001
Nov. 2, 2001--Filtronic Sigtek has released an ST-292 10-Gbit/sec pattern generator designed for OC-192 and 10 Gigabit Ethernet development and production testing.

Filtronic Sigtek has released an ST-292 10-Gbit/sec pattern generator designed for OC-192 and 10 Gigabit Ethernet development and production testing. The ST-292 is factory configurable for pseudo-random patterns at industry standard Forward Error Corrected (FEC) and non-FEC bit rates. Jitter specifications of 1.3 ps rms together with a compact size make the ST-292 ideal for production and field test applications, asserts the company.

The ST-292 outputs both inverted and non-inverted pseudo-random patterns on connectors with industry standard SCFL voltage levels. The generator clock can be supplied externally through an SMA clock input connector or internally by an optional low phase noise DRO oscillator.

The ST-292 is available with a 2-6 week delivery time.
