OnePath Networks and NWS Communications Corporation announced they have formed an alliance to deliver converged broadband Internet and entertainment video over fiber-based access networks to multiple-dwelling unit (MDU) subscribers.

OnePath Networks is a Princeton-based producer of broadband access equipment, and NWS is a network integrator headquartered in Westfield, Mass. Under terms of their multi-year, multi-million dollar agreement, NWS will integrate OnePath Networks' iPath system into private, fiber-based broadband networks it builds for residential, educational and hospitality MDUs. iPath is an optical transmission infrastructure featuring symmetrical Internet access at up to 10 Mbs and up to 500 channels of entertainment and educational video. It delivers both broadband data and video services to MDUs, hotels and colleges without having to install a modem in each living unit.

The companies are also working jointly on various marketing and sales activities such as trade shows and advertising to promote their combined offering.

About OnePath Networks:

OnePath Networks designs and manufactures broadband optical access equipment which eliminates "first-mile" bandwidth bottlenecks through the convergence of high-speed data communications and digital/analog video services over a single fiber for delivery to MDUs.
