LighTrade and Neon Communications announce interconnectivity agreements in East coast markets

May 18, 2001--LighTrade Inc., a provider of neutral, fully-automated bandwidth pooling points, and NEON Communications, Inc, a wholesale provider of high bandwidth fiber optic capacity and end-to-end communications solutions, announced multi-year interconnection and collocation agreements.

LighTrade Inc., a provider of neutral, fully-automated bandwidth pooling points, and NEON Communications, Inc, a wholesale provider of high bandwidth fiber optic capacity and end-to-end communications solutions, announced multi-year interconnection and collocation agreements. Under the agreements, NEON will interconnect to LighTrade pooling points in Boston, New York City, Philadelphia and Washington DC. Also, NEON will provide LighTrade collocation services in Boston.

LighTrade's pooling points provide carriers and service providers with access to multiple bandwidth vendors and customers through a single connection and enable local and long haul carriers and broadband service providers to switch bandwidth in minutes rather than months. By connecting to LighTrade's pooling points, telecommunications companies around the globe will have the ability to utilize NEON's unique broadband network, which passes over 400 points of presence (POPs) in the Verizon footprint.
