City fiber networks

Maryland-based American Communications Services Inc. has begun construction of fiber-optic competitive access networks in five metropolitan areas and has received a franchise in a sixth city. The networks are in El Paso, TX; Mobile and Montgomery, AL; Lexington, KY; and Charleston, SC. The franchise is in Tucson, AZ.
