Fiber-optic connectors

The MkII upgrade version of the MC3 multiway fiber-optic connectors combine the performance standards of telecommunications with the environmental requirements of defense, aerospace and industrial applications. The connectors feature individually insertable/removable contacts, zirconia ceramic ferrules and alignment sleeves, and an anti-vibration coupling mechanism. They are used with singlemode and multimode optical fibers with core diameters to 200 microns. Typical insertion loss is 0.25 dB.
