ElectroniCast offers D/CWDM & conventional WDM filter module forecast
MAY 27, 2008 -- ElectroniCast Consultants (search for ElectroniCast) today announced the release of a new market forecast and analysis of the global market consumption and technology trends of DWDM, CWDM, and conventional WDM filter modules.
According to ElectroniCast, the global consumption value of DWDM, CWDM, and conventional WDM filter components/modules reached $1.4 billion last year (2007).
During the forecast period of 2007-2012, the value will increase at an average annual growth rate of 25.7% to reach $4.4 billion in 2012. DWDM filter modules will maintain their dominant market share lead throughout the forecast period, growing from $997 million in 2007 to $3.23 billion in 2012.
The following technology types are segmented and presented in the DWDM forecasts: Dielectric Thin Film Interference Filters (DIF or TFF); Arrayed Waveguide Gratings (AWGs); Fiber Bragg Gratings (FBGs); and "Other"
