The Fast SwitcHub-2se 10/100-Mbit/sec Ethernet hub interconnects 10Base-T and 100Base-Tx workgroups with 100Base-Fx fiber segments or backbones. Two configurations are available: an SC-type connector (Model ES3002-TF-SC) and a 10Base-T/100Base-Tx connector or an ST-type connector (Model ES3002-TF-ST) and a 10Base-T/100Base-Tx connector. When the hub is used to convert 10-Mbit/sec data transmissions to 100-Mbit/sec Fast Ethernet, the unit delivers 100% filtering and forwarding, which translates to a throughput rate approaching 148,800 pps or line speed. When used to lengthen Fast Ethernet connections, cabling distances can be extended from 205 to 2000 m per device.
