Fiber-optic attenuators

Variable fiber-optic attenuators suit telecommunications applications such as cable-TV systems. They feature -70-dB backreflection and use an expanded beam technique to control attenuation. Insertion loss is as low as 0.4 dB for singlemode fibers. Attenuation range is from 0.4 to more than 80 dB.
