DIFFERENTIAL OUTPUT OPTICAL RECEIVERS

Aug. 1, 2000

The APD-based PGR 20312 is a new differential output fiberoptic receiver for OC-48/STM-16 WDM applications. It offers an extended bandwidth greater than 2.0 GHz, allowing data rates up to 3 Gbit/s. Typical sensitivity and overload are -34 and -3 dBm, respectively. The module is provided in a 14-pin hermetic butterfly package and operates in the wavelength range of 1250 to 1620 nm. It is intended for use with standard single-mode fiber, using a pigtail connector. Also available is the PGR 20302, a PIN-diode-based counterpart to the PGR 20312. The PGR 20302 has typical sensitivity and overload of -25 and 0.5 dBm, respectively.
