The UV-CVL ultraviolet laser source for writing fiber Bragg gratings for optical communications comes in three models, each of which offers beams at 255, 271, 289, 511, and 578 nm. Average power ranges from 100 mW to 1 W, with power consumption of less than 4 kW, low cooling-water consumption, and no additional gas cabinet installation. It is designed for pulse repetition at 4 to 8 kHz, with an extended frequency optional. It offers temporal coherence of 4 cm.
