Gain-flattening filters

Sept. 1, 1999

Filters flatten complex amplifier gain without the need for temperature stabilization. Based on a thin-film component housed in a compact, environmentally stable package, they have maximum back reflection of -50 dB, typical polarization-dependent loss of 0.5 dB, and maximum error-function performance of ±0.4 dB.
